Webinar: Debunking Tribal Justice Myths
When: Wednesday, July 15, at 12 p.m. AK
Alaskan Native and Native American legal issues are complex and often deeply personal to tribal communities. As a result, tribal justice myths frequently arise from lawyers, tribal leaders, and the non-Native community. Sifting through what is true or false in everyday life can be difficult. This webinar will address common tribal justice myths and debunk them while informing you about the legal reality. A correct legal foundation is important for tribal communities to assert their rights and exercise self-governance.
We welcome tribal leaders, judges, and staff; non-lawyers; and anyone who wants to learn more about tribal justice in Alaska.
